Current Projects & Needs

We have a variety of fundraising projects on the go at Teen Challenge Jamaica!

Teen Challenge Jamaica is made possible primarily through donations from friends of this ministry - and to a certain extent through work projects such as those listed below. If you'd like more information on any of the following, please call us at (876) 795-2695 or see our CONTACT INFORMATION!

Recently, TCJ was granted 10 acres of land for farming to help meet our sustainability goals. Farming is another excellent therapeutic activity for our men; it was one of the missing “ingredients” - until now!

Over the past months, 4 cottages have been completed on this new farm site - thanks to missions teams from Canada and the USA!

Thanks to a recent visit from a mission team, our new greenhouse is up-and-running! This is the first of several greenhouses we are planning as part of our sustainability goals. Come & take a tour and see what God is doing at the TCJ farm project!

Our Jewelery business started when Mike Zello of Global Teen Challenge first introduced it to us at our Caribbean conference of 2004. His son, Tim and his wife visited TCJ to train our men in Jewelery making.  It was a slow starter but when it took off -- it went flying!

We have great expectations for this business and it makes for excellent skills training for our men.

We have skilled carpenters in the house! If there’s something specific you need -  just ask - our men can probably make it!

TCJ is also taking on light home improvement and repair projects such as tiling, installing mosquito screens on windows, and repairing roofs.

Again, students have the opportunity to learn a trade by working with a skilled staff member - and projects like this offer wonderful ‘teachable moments’
