Previous Missions Teams - continued

Instead of focusing on construction as in previous visits, this team partnered with us in community outreaches, school outreaches and a street meeting.  The team visited a infirmary in Priory St. Ann where they ministered to a number of golden agers, they visited three high schools in the St. Ann and St Mary areas and shared in devotions with the students. They visited Windsor girls home and the juvenile prison in Bamboo St. Ann where they brought a message of hope to the wards in both institutions.  The street meeting was held at the Ocho Rios clock tower; about four hundred persons were in attendance to hear the good news, fifteen of which gave their lives to the Lord.  The team was also involved in construction; they built and renovated some small houses in and around the community where our center is located.

A very special graduation

We've enjoyed many graduations at Teen Challenge Jamaica over the years! It's always a great time of celebration. To God be the glory!

Team Training

We had our first formal local staff training on Residential Rehabilitation. Heads of department were enlisted to train in their respective areas, it was a refreshing  and motivating two days for our senior staff and our interns benefited significantly, The Director designated for the Grand Cayman Teen Challenge was in attendance and spoke highly of the level of training he received over the two days.

Charles Boucher and two of his staff members again visited TCJ during the week for hands on training.  They were given a check list by the Global representative for the region to follow.  The feedback from the Cayman team was that is was very good training and equipping. Charles Boucher did Personality Insight training with the TCJ team which really blessed us.

2010highlights.pngJohn Steigerwald was on the Island during which he did four days of training on Integrity with our team, it was another insightful and well needed training and he also spent eight hours over four days with the student body.

Steve Milazzo did two days of staff training with staff and interns; he was also our Key note Speaker at our graduation when visiting with us.
